Terms of Service
Effective: July 29, 2026 · ScanSentry is operated by RioPlex Technology LLC, McAllen, Texas ("we", "us").
1. The service. ScanSentry lets you photograph items and see related live eBay listings, AI-generated identification and condition assessments, and computed resale estimates ("verdicts"). By creating an account you agree to these terms.
2. Not an appraisal — no guarantee. Verdicts, identifications, condition grades, price statistics, and chat answers are automated estimates generated from live market data and AI analysis. They are provided for information only, may be inaccurate or incomplete, and are not professional appraisals, authentication, investment advice, or a guarantee of any resale outcome. Purchase and pricing decisions are yours alone, and we are not liable for losses arising from reliance on the service.
3. Plans and billing. The Free plan includes a monthly scan allowance. Paid subscriptions (monthly or yearly) are billed through Stripe, renew automatically, and can be canceled anytime via your account page; access continues through the period already paid. Fees are non-refundable except where required by law. Fair-use daily limits apply to all plans to prevent abuse.
4. Acceptable use. No scraping, reselling, or redistributing service data; no automated or bulk querying; no attempts to circumvent limits or security; no unlawful use. We may suspend accounts that violate these terms.
5. Your content. You retain rights to photos you submit and grant us the limited license needed to process them and operate the service (see the Privacy Policy for how photos are handled).
6. Third parties. eBay listing data is provided by eBay Inc. under its API terms; listings, prices, and availability belong to their respective sellers. eBay and the eBay logo are trademarks of eBay Inc. ScanSentry is not endorsed by, sponsored by, or affiliated with eBay Inc. Links to eBay may be affiliate links (see Privacy Policy).
7. Disclaimers and liability. The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Changes and termination. We may update the service or these terms; material changes will be posted here. You may close your account at any time (see Privacy Policy for deletion).
9. Governing law. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas. Contact: support@scansentry.app.
