Privacy Policy
Effective: July 29, 2026 · ScanSentry is operated by RioPlex Technology LLC, McAllen, Texas.
What we collect. Your account email and password (stored as a secure hash). Photos you scan, which are transmitted to identify the item and then discarded — we retain only a small thumbnail in your private scan history. Scan results you generate (search queries, listing counts, price statistics, costs and sale prices you enter). Usage counts (scans and chat messages per day) used to operate plan limits. If you subscribe, billing is handled by Stripe; we store your Stripe customer and subscription identifiers, never your card number.
How photos are processed. Item and tag photos are sent to two service providers to produce your results: eBay Inc. (visual listing search) and Anthropic (AI identification, condition grading, and item chat). Photos are processed for your request and are not used by us to train models or build profiles.
Service providers. eBay Inc. (listing search), Anthropic PBC (AI analysis), Stripe Inc. (payments), SMTP2GO (transactional email). Each receives only what is needed to perform its function.
Affiliate disclosure. Links to eBay listings may include eBay Partner Network tracking. If you make a purchase through them, ScanSentry may earn a commission at no cost to you.
Cookies. We use a session cookie to keep you signed in. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
Your data, your control. You can delete any scan (and its thumbnail) from your history at any time. To delete your entire account and all associated data, email support@scansentry.app from your account address and we will complete deletion within 30 days.
Children. ScanSentry is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes. We will post any changes to this policy on this page with an updated effective date.
